We performed the ninth of the ChangEquality in Work University Activity at Topkapı Campus of İstinye University, in two sessions at 11.30 and 14:00. We joyfully played our ChangEquality game before noon with 24 students and in the afternoon with 23 students, under the facilitation of Gül Üstün and Azize Namdar. The Rectorate presented appreciation certificate to our association following the game. Prof. Dr. İlhan Tomanbay, Head of Social Work Department, and Hilal Taş, Head of Social Work Club, supported the organization of the event and ensured as many students as possible could benefit.

One of the participants stated that the efforts made by women to receive education have changed their families and that they should not give up their decisions as follows: “My family was not happy as a result of me being admitted to university at first. My father said that I cannot get along ‘as a single girl’ in a large and crowded city like Istanbul, I should enter the exam again and study in Kayseri, the city we live in. I insisted that I can make it, and I came to Istanbul, challenging my father. Now they are proud of me, they tell their circle that I can live and study in Istanbul as a ‘single’ woman.”
